Deb Housh is an artist, educator and arts administrator. She holds a B.A. in Art History with a minor in Visual Art from Miami University. Following an internship in Museum Education at the Art Institute of Chicago, she completed an M.A. in Art Education from Ohio State University. She met her husband while living and teaching in Chicago, and they later spent more than a year in Bangkok, Thailand teaching English and exploring South East Asia.
Denver, Colorado was Deb’s next home where she taught high school art (and learned to ski!). Wishing to be closer to family, she and her husband returned to Ohio to raise their two boys and lived in Yellow Springs for 12 years. Deb has worked as the Arts & Cultural Manager for the Yellow Springs Arts Council, Teaching-Artist for Project Jericho, Curator of Education for the Springfield Museum of Art, and Art Teacher at Shawnee High School. Deb and her family (including two cats and a dog) currently reside in Dayton, where they enjoy art, music, parks, and other cultural opportunities.
