Ms. Duffey is a science teacher and a lifelong resident of Springfield, Ohio. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and her Masters of Education degree from Wright State University where she was also actively involved in neuroscience research. Ms. Duffey has previously taught for Fairborn City Schools and Ohio Virtual Academy.  She is currently an instructor for the Teacher Education Department at Wright State University during the summer months. Ms. Duffey is a Martha Holden Jennings Scholar, received the Governors’ Award for Excellence in Youth Science Opportunities award and was named Teacher of the Year at both Fairborn City Schools and OHVA. She aims to empower students to succeed with their own unique strengths and develop enthusiasm for science in their everyday lives. In her spare time, Ms. Duffey loves spending time with her two children and enjoys marathon running, triathlons, cooking, gardening and music.
