Clubs, Extracurricular Activities, & Opportunities

Discover your passions and expand your horizons through clubs and activities. From creative outlets like band, musical theater, and Dungeons & Dragons to technological pursuits like drone soccer and esports, there's something for everyone. Beyond the classroom, explore global opportunities through study abroad programs and other international experiences.

FFA

All students are enrolled in our FFA chapter, providing a platform for personal growth, leadership development, and career exploration. Throughout the year, members participate in a variety of Career Development Events (CDEs) such as public speaking, soil judging, and parliamentary procedure. Each grade level elects a team of officers to lead and inspire their peers. During the summer, many of our students showcase their talents and hard work by exhibiting animals, crops, and other projects at the Clark County Fair.

eSports

Join our competitive esports team and dive into the thrilling world of competitive gaming. We participate in leagues like Esports Ohio (ESO and the High School Esports League (HSEL), where you can test your skills against other top teams. Hone your abilities in popular games such as Fortnite, Overwatch, Chess, Minecraft, and Rocket League. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just starting out, our team offers a supportive and competitive environment to help you reach your full potential.

Study Abroad Opportunities

Global Impact offers exciting study abroad opportunities each year. These immersive experiences typically last a week and provide students with the chance to explore diverse cultures and natural wonders. Recent destinations have included Italy, Iceland, and Switzerland. In the upcoming spring of 2025, students will embark on a journey to Ireland, while the spring of 2026 will take them to the vibrant countries of Costa Rica and Panama.

4-H

Global Impact's 4-H club offers a diverse range of opportunities for students to explore their passions and develop essential skills. Members participate in a variety of projects, from creative pursuits like graphic design to technical endeavors like woodworking and rocketry. Through volunteer work and club activities, students cultivate leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities. Many of our members also serve as camp counselors for the Clark County 4-H Camp.

Global Scholars Diploma

The Global Scholars Diploma (GSD) program helps prepare today’s high school students to be tomorrow’s global leaders. Global Impact STEM Academy invites students to participate in this program which bolsters an interconnected, global community. Students enrolled in this program engage in various activities, objectives, and events to foster the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary to compete in an increasingly global workforce.

The GSD program has three tiers consisting from Level 1 to Level 3 Scholars. Before the end of the school year, students must complete requirements to advance to the next tier.

A Global Scholar must take ownership of their learning by completing independent activities that one chooses in addition to attending Global Scholar events. The following topics are available for study: Global Migration, Environmental Issues, Food Security, Human Rights, Global Security.

Drone Soccer

Global Impact's Drone Soccer Club is part of the U.S. Drone Soccer League, a program designed to spark interest in aviation and STEM fields. Our students engage in exciting, fast-paced drone soccer competitions, applying engineering principles and problem-solving skills to build, program, and fly their drones. By participating in this unique program, students develop teamwork, communication, and critical thinking abilities, preparing them for future careers in aerospace and technology.

Athletics

Although GISA does not have any athletic teams, Global Impact has many students who participate in athletics at their district of residence. Students are afforded this right per Ohio Revised Code 3313.537.
