Global Impact FFA left a mark at the Ohio FFA State Convention, showcasing exceptional achievements and unwavering dedication to agricultural excellence.
On Thursday, 30 students from Global Impact FFA participated in various events, with standout performances earning accolades across categories. Kate Welsheimer's exemplary work in the Integrated Ag Research area earned her fourth place statewide in proficiency applications, while Jackson DeWitt secured third place in the Ag Research Plant Systems proficiency category. Jaiden Welliford proudly accepted the Chapter’s Charitable Giving Award on behalf of the chapter, recognizing their outstanding efforts in supporting the Clark County Salvation Army.
Friday saw more success for the chapter. Twenty-nine students were awarded for their outstanding Agriscience Fair Projects, each ranking among the top four individuals in the state for their respective categories. (A list of final placings is found below). Additionally, Josie Jennings, Grace Whitmore, and Lara Rittenhouse were honored with the prestigious State FFA Degree. Brady Payton, Grace Whitmore, and Daniel Stacy were commended for their exemplary officer books, each earning a gold rating for their dedicated service. Elise Hess performed with her clarinet in the FFA band, showcasing the chapter's diverse talents. Josie Jennings continued to shine, receiving first place in Extemporaneous Public Speaking CDE, while Mackenzie Hudson was recognized for the top spot in Ag Biotech CDE.
The crowning moment came with Josie Jennings earning a coveted spot on the state officer team, where she will serve as the State Vice President at Large, a testament to her leadership and commitment to the FFA.
