Soil Judging Team

Last weekend, the Rural Soil Judging Team competed at the state-level competition in Plain City, Ohio, securing an impressive 17th place overall. The team, consisting of seniors Allison DeVanna, Daniel Stacy, and Evan Ballard, along with freshman Chris Howard, showcased their knowledge and skills in soil analysis.

Senior Allison DeVanna led the team, placing 20th individually. Daniel Stacy and Evan Ballard followed closely, placing 77th and 78th, respectively. Freshman Chris Howard, participating in his first soil judging competition, finished 149th.

Reflecting on her final year, Allison shared, "It's rewarding feeling to end my high school soil judging career on a high note. I’m super proud of how far our team has come, and it’s amazing to see the growth we’ve had over the years."

The Rural Soil Judging Team’s success at the state competition reflects their hard work and dedication, and they are looking forward to building on this achievement in future competitions.
