OYI Participants

Congratulations to Jackson DeWitt, Amor Hatch, Ava Emory, Nathan Harris, and Terra Choi!

These students dedicated their time and energy to researching global issues related to food insecurity and developing potential solutions to real-world problems. After writing and submitting their research papers to the Ohio Youth Institute, they had the opportunity to present their work to peers and experts from across the state.

As a result of their participation, they are now recognized as Borlaug Scholar, a prestigious honor that opens the door to both domestic and international internships, as well as special scholarship opportunities.

We’re incredibly proud of their hard work and passion for global agricultural issues. We’ll find out soon if they are selected to attend the World Food Prize Global Youth Institute in Des Moines, Iowa later this year!
