The Global Impact FFA Chapter had an unforgettable showing at the 2025 Ohio FFA State Convention, with two packed days of recognition, awards, and celebration of student excellence.
Thursday’s Highlights: The chapter kicked off the convention on Thursday with a demonstration of service and leadership. Jillian Jennings accepted the Charitable Giving Recognition Award on behalf of the chapter for their donations raised through the Young’s Jersey Dairy Bike Tour. Meanwhile, Josie Henry and Savannah Crawford were honored for the chapter's standing as an Ohio FFA Gold Medal Chapter, a prestigious recognition of overall chapter excellence.
In individual accomplishments, Jackson DeWitt earned 2nd place in the state for his Agriscience Research – Plant Systems Proficiency Award. The day closed on a high note with Mackenzie Hudson being named a State STAR Finalist in Agriscience, one of the top honors recognizing outstanding achievements in agriscience.
Friday’s Achievements: Friday brought even more success for the chapter. The chapter's officer team received Gold Rated Officer Book Awards, with Josie Henry (Reporter), Elise Hess (Treasurer), and Taylor Workman (Secretary) all earning individual recognition for their high-quality record keeping and leadership.
The chapter also made an impressive showing in the Agriscience Fair, with 21 students placing in the top 4 in the state across a variety of categories and divisions. Three students placed 1st in the state and will now refine their projects to apply for National Agriscience Fair competition:

The celebration continued with musical talent on full display. Savannah Crawford and Nico Montico took the stage to perform as part of the State FFA Talent Showcase, while McKenna Morris, Aidan Leach, and Elise Hess contributed their musical gifts through performances in the State FFA Band and Choir.
The convention concluded with one of the most meaningful recognitions in FFA: the State FFA Degree. This year, nine Global Impact students were honored with this prestigious award, the highest degree the state can bestow:
